It’s been five years since High Priestess Zoey Redbird took over the House of Night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a vampyre finishing school where newly marked fledglings are sent to learn of their new lives. The House of Night has become one of the most unique Houses of Night in history with it's continuation of extremely talented fledglings and faculty alike. Along with unique abilities, comes a unique species. The red fledglings have joined the school alongside their leader and High Priestess, Stevie Rae Johnson. Yeah, that's right, two High Priestess's run the House of Night and thanks to the bond between both of them it has been a very successful and un-drama-fied experience. At least so far it has.

Healing of ills,

In Nyx’s name we call to thee!

One of Stevie Rae's fledglings has become the High Priestess in training, and she's hiding a very deep, very dark secret that even Zoey can't decipher from her mind. Jaedyn is the first Red Fledgling to aquire an elemental affinity since Stevie Rae, and it's clear that Nyx has her hand on Jae, even with the darkness growing within her. The power the Goddess has given Jaedyn is like nothing ever seen before, so what does that mean for the House of Night? Could the new and improved ressurection serum be faulty? Only time will tell, and as every fledgling knows, time is of the essence.
