((ooc:// Sorry, Lia. I know this is still under construction, but I'm just starting roleplays everywhere.)) A large, dark haired man mached through the massive hallways, with his sword slung neatly over his shoulder, his sheild strapped to his back, and his helmet held lazily at his side. Nothing interesting had happened in Shoshire for nearly a year now, so he wasn't sure why he was still marching the hallways of the castle. Michael sighed, unsure of what to do. It seemed like all of the other knights ditched their positions, all going home since they knew nobody would be entering the castle any time soon. Michael knew it, too, but didn't want to risk losing his position as a knight guarding the castle. All of the knights had gotten guard positions lately, though, due to the lack of activity everywhere in Shoshire. He finally gave up. After making his rounds all of the way through the castle's hallways four times, he made it back to the entrance of the castle, and stepped outside. The blinding light suddenly shone in his eyes, and he held a guarded hand to hsi eyebrows, blocking the light. He looked out across the town, watching as the people's everyday activities went on peacefully. He sighed again, and decided he wouldn't completely leave his post, and he went and sat down uncomfortably in his armour, on the front steps of the massive building. He took his sword and sheild off of this back and set them neatly next to him, and put his helmet down on the other side. He would watch if anyone approached the castle from here, and he wouldn't have to wander completely alone inside. He could watch the town, the clouds, the birds overhead, anything he wanted. He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again to watch the townspeople below.

ooc:// You're a very good genius, Z. I keep meaning to take it off construction... Thanks:) There. Off construction. Oh, well, now this is a pointless post. I'll have to finish the prince and make myself a character that can interact with yours. Wait a sec... I am in Shoshire. D'oh. ic:// "Tyranny!" Prince Diamond muttered to himself. The tall prince pulled a string leading to a bell in the servant's quarters for the third time, and then decided to move himself. I suppose, he thought, Who is likely to attack me in this palace? Feeling happy to be alone in the echoing chambers, he hauled himself up from his decorative throne. The corridors were draped with tapestries depicting royal princes and knights hunting boars and other trivial animals. The warm, rich colors and the thick woven wool made the hallways reverberate less, and the footsteps of Diamond's heavy boots barely made an echo. Diamond whistled and the sound traveled eerily around him, lifting his spirits. He was in a cheery mood, probably thanks to the tall glass of cherry wine he had drunken less than an hour ago. No windows lined the walls, but thanks to little flame lanterns hung along the walls, light flickered merrily, casting shadows upon the walls. Because he was alone and there was no one to observe him, he performed a few ragged dance moves, beating his heels together and circling down the hall with an imaginary partner. As little as the stubborn prince would admit it, he really loved to dance. He was just hesitant to embarrass himself as he thought that his skills were rather poor. Deciding that he would catch a breath of fresh air, Diamond took a sudden left, and found himself in a hallway leading to the door. He flicked a speck of dust from a set of armor standing to the left of the door, and undid the heavy lock, noticing warily that the bolts were already undone. He jetéd out the stone doors, and nearly toppled over- first, there was a stone step there, and secondly, there was a person. Feeling embarrassed, Diamond closed the doors again, leaving them unlocked. ooc:// although boring, that wasn't too bad... thanks, Z, you inspired me:)

Michael's eyes widened when he heard loud clunking behind him, and he turned quickly around to see the doors close behind him. He tipped his head, confused, as he stood and picked up his helmet, sheild and finally he sword, putting them all in place as if there was an intruder. He opened the doors warily, glancing between the slits in his helmet only to see the Prince standing there, red faced.
He lowered his sword and sheild, tipping his head again. Once he realised his unusual position, he let out an awkward bow, and uttered a greeting to him. "Uh-um, hello sir," he stuttered, removing his helmet. He always felt awkward in the prince's presence, though he never showed it. The price was the only person to get Michael on his awkward side, since he was a large, stone-faced, armored man next to his graceful prince, and he felt insignificant. "I-I was just..." he glanced around the lightly decorated hallway, unsure of an excuse. "Getting... some fresh air. My appologies for leaving my post." He made another awkward bow, feeling embarassed, though once again, not showing anything on his poker face. He knew he wouldn't get in too much trouble, since he didn't leave the castle like most of the knights and guards did, but he was the only one to be caught. "Is there anything I can do for you or...?" he drifted off, realising he was talking too much- much more than normal, anyways.
((ooc:// Jeez... that was an unusually hard post to write for some reason. ))

ooc:// Hmm. *is unsure how to respond and really should finish Diamond's app*
hey, if you press enter a lot, the live preview box gets bigger!
ic:// Diamond bowed to the scrambling knight. He only bent his back forward about a millimeter, being polite yet conforming to the hierarchy. Yet suddenly, as the knight talked about something that was flying over his brain, a speck of rain hit him on the head. He gasped at the unfamiliar sensation of water, and looked up at the sky. Another hard pellet of rain pelted the tall king in the eye, and he turned his head down, hurrying back under the shelter of the huge arched doorway. "It is an omen!" he gaped. "An omen!" He bent over, and shook the young knight sitting on the stairs. "Did you see that?!" he questioned, taking the knight by the shoulder and shaking him, piercing Michael's eyes with his own pearly blue ones, now full with a strange white flame. "An omen of bad coming times..."

Micheal was stunned for a few moments when the Prince took him by the shoulders and began shaking him violently. "I-it's just rain, sir!" he stuttered through the prince's violent shakes. He gently took Prince Diamond's hands from his shoulders, making sure not to make anything of a rude gesture, and placed them downwards. "I-I'm not sure how a simple rainfall could be a bad omen, sir." As if the weather was listening, a loud crack of thunder sounded behind him, and rumbled softly into the distance. "Thunderstorms are a perfectly normal part of life... sir." He wiped a few drops of water from his shoulders awkwardly, trying not to look like a smart-alek.

As if taken over by some spirit, Diamond paused for dramatic effect, shaking a little before collapsing to his knees. "Don't you see?" he asked, completely ignoring Michael's rational protests. "The rain is a symbol." His voice was low and unusual. "A sign. A warning sign. Brashire's princess will overrule Shoshire..." He suddenly rose to his feet again. "I'm sorry," he said in a perfectly clear and normal voice. "What was I saying?"
ooc:// that was odd, I know. XD

Michael stareed blankly at the prince for a few moments before continuing cautiously. "Uh-um... Sir?" He paused again. "What about the Princess of Brashire, sir?" He was standing straighter than usual, leaning slightly away from Prince Diamond. He was really starting to weird him out a bit, and the sudden normal look on his face as he jumped to his feet implied that he had absolutely no clue what he just said. He had never really seen anyone do that before. Was he possessed? Michael took a half step backwards, covering it up by adjusting the shield on his back awkwardly.

"What about what about the prince of Brashire?" the Shorian prince asked, having total amnesia. He missed Michael's step backwards, but noticed the movement of his shield. Was the knight scared of him? Diamond scratched his neck awkwardly, and looked out over the stone steps, and to the vast grounds beyond. Although it wasn't late, the land was dark, overhung with dark grey clouds.

Michael fell slightly slack-jawed in confusion, feeling his hand touch the hilt of his sword at his side. Was the prince possessed? "Sir, you just... said..." he stuttered for a moment, before trying to calm himself. "Nevermind, sir... I must have heard you wrong or something." He blinked, trying to clear his head. That was really strange of him to do that, and not even remember it. He swallowed, glancing awkwardly to the side. "Are you getting enough sleep, sir?" he asked, trying to make any sense of what just happened.

Diamond's head c0cked slightly as he looked at Micheal. The boy really seemed to believe that something had happened to him. He put out a hand and gave Michael a friendly clap on the back, and then quickly withdrew it. He stared down at his perfectly untanned hand in astonishment. What was coming over him? Treating a subject like a friend? He shook his head. "Maybe I'm not," he murmured, more to himself.

Michael almost flinched when the Prince touched him, clapping him on the back once, though he kept himself still. When Prince Diamond stared at his hand with a look of confusion on his face, the same look fell onto Michael's. "Maybe it would be best if you got some-" he stopped himself from saying fresh air, since the rain was what made the Prince freak out in the first place, "-Rest, sir." He cleared his throat awkwardly at the end of his sentence, having a sudden urge to wipe off the area where Prince Diamond had touched him.

"Rest," Diamond repeated slowly. "Rest!" His eyes brightened, and he turned and strode forward. Unfortunately, he had taken one step down without realizing, and he managed to trip over the solid stone. "Oof." Feeling un-prince-like and clumsy, he rose with dignity, and took a few strides over to the door. "Good night to you, sir, er, knight." He opened the door, and disappeared inside.
