Aimee grinned as Lena slaughtered Vincent's wall. She took the opportunity to casually drop the two snow balls she was still clutching. She tried to picture Vincent running and spearing himself, and she burst out laughing again. "I'm sorry," she cackled, "I can't help it... Your expression..." She started laughing again.

Vincent felt himself flush terribly. "Why are you laughing?!" he asked loudly, feeling his face burn a darker red. "There's a possibility I would stab somebody else with one of those, too!" he crossed his arms across his chest. "I would end up killing somebody on our side if I tried running with one of those things," he nodded towards Lena's spear. He felt his face returning to normal color. "Then... well... it just wouldn't end well." His face turned a little pinker again.

Trying to calm herself, Aimee took a few deep breaths. "I'm sorry," she replied genuinely. "I didn't mean to laugh I just.... couldn't... help it." She covered her face with her hands and cough-laughed. "It is a good idea," she said, trying to redeem herself. "Because we can kill enemies without getting close and being killed, and we can take out their archers easily." She shuddered. The sight of blood was not one of her favorites.

Lena held back a snort at Vincent's actions. She let out a breath as the ice was transferred back out of her spear before slinging it over her back again. She didn't want ice down her shirt like Vincent had apparently gotten snow. She looked at Aimee, who was trying to stop herself from laughing.
"Sure.. I guess.. but we haven't really had a lot of trouble with the Fire Side lately, have we?" she said, keeping her voice calm and non-emotional.

Vincent paused for a moment, thinking. "Yeah, I suppose..." his voice drifted off for a moment. "But it might not last forever... and I'm probably one of the most helpless people in the village." His gaze fell to the ground, and chunk of half melted snow fell forwards off of his hair and onto the ground. He ruffled his own hair awkwardly again, hoping that he didn't have any left in his hair as he glanced up again. "I can't fight to save my life unless I use a bow, and even if we aren't in any danger, I would like to know how to use it more effectively..." There was an unusual amount of determination in his voice, though it disappeared shorly there after. "You know?"

ooc:// woah... sudden urge to write in 1st person... either of you mind? ic:// Aimee's laughter faded as she heard the seriousness in Vincent's tone. He sounded so... helpless. Like a little duck. She looked down at the snow beneath her feet, her shoes being slowly iced over. She watched Lena's expression as she talked about the Fire Village. "It really is good that there's peace," Aimee said, "But it's also kind of... boring. I don't know. There's nothing exciting to do except run around in circles. This is a way to pass time also." She kicked the ground violently, as if that would cause an entertaining fight. She suddenly realized her emotions, and wondered how she had become so... bloodthirsty.

Lena whipped around to face Aimee. "You'd rather fight?" she asked, her voice disbelieving. This was her childhood friend, who she had grown up with, learning the same lessons, experiencing the same emotions? Though she was more partial to the Fire Herd and Village now, she didn't think that her views on battle had changed much. Aimee's, however...
"Well.." she started. "We can always find things to do, even if there isn't a battle going on..." she shrugged. "We have before. Isn't being bored better than fighting, anyway?" She glanced curiously at her friend.
ooc:// I don't mind. XD

"I guess it is," Aimee shrugged. She kicked the snowy ground in front of her, feeling embarrassed at being so open with her emotions, and feeling stupid for saying that. It wouldn't be good for her if everyone thought she was a blood thirsty canine. "Throwing snowballs is a good distraction." She smiled mischievously, and in less than a second, she had bent over and scooped up a new ball.

Vincent listened silently as the girls talked back and forth for a moment, unsure of what to say. When he glanced back up and realized that Aimee had another snowball in her hand, he ducked behind a tree and scooped up his own snowball. "I can agree with that... It's more fun than sitting around doing nothing..." He lobbed the snowball around the tree, hoping it would hit Aimee again, before scooping up another one.

Aimee had thought that Vincent was blocked from her by the large tree, but all of a sudden, she was hit right in the back of the neck... She gasped as coldness trickled down her back, and whirled around in a 3-quarter-circle to see Vincent. She hissed, not unlike a cat, and aimed the snowball at him. Unfortunately, she wasn't good at throwing curveballs, and the poor tree took her vain effort.

Lena laughed despite herself. Being born with pretty good aim, she never had to worry about being teased on that front. Feeling bad, she stopped, distracting herself by forming a snowball. "Who wants it?" she yelled, straightening up and holding it ready to fire. She smiled recklessly, taking a step forward. "Surrender or die," she dramatically intoned.

Smiling at Lena's laughter, Aimee crouched down for another ball. "Bags not me!" she shouted. She dodged to the side, and ran around Lena, intending to use her as a shield. She had now mastered the knack of rolling snowballs fairly quickly, and had them made in less than five seconds.

Vincent ducked around the tree about half way so he was on the opposite side of Lena. When he saw Aimee run behind her, using her as a human sheild, he laughed. "Get her while she's behind you!" he shouted, rolling another snowball and lobbing it into the air above their heads, trying to get it to fall straight down on the two of them. He peeked carefully around the tree, hoping he wasn't looking at just the wrong time.

"Don't!" Aimee whispered-shouted to Lena. "Let's form an alliance; girls beat him!" She giggled, and then saw the snowball heading their way. For someone who could possible impale himself on a spear, he had good aim. She ducked pointlessly, dropping to the ground and rolling into a tight ball in less than a second. Of course, that did nothing to get her out of the ball's target, and she ended up with snow drenching her brown hair. She gasped at the coldness, and dropped into a lying position, sprawling her arms out like a star over the ground.

Vincent's eyes widened. "No!" he shouted, ducking behind the tree. "That's not fair!" He rolled up another snowball, and peeked around the side of the tree, hoping that he wouldn't get hit in the face when he did so. He lobbed another snowball again before ducking behind the tree, covering his head with his arms.
((writer's block...))
