Description: At a distance, Matt looks younger than he is, but he is just shorter than most other guys. He has a strong build, that makes up for his height. He has a mature face for his age, and doesn't look like he is enjoying himself at times. He has a very serious complexion, and most people avoid his glance since he tends to look more angry than he feels. He has short, tan hair that hands over onto his forehead, and sometimes into his brownish-tan eyes. Along the backs of his hands he also has small scars from his various fights, and tends to keep his hands in his pockets because of them.
On most days, Winters wears a dark sweatshirt over a long T-shirt with a strange design on it, along with loose pants and dark shoes. His pants normally have some form of chain on them, hanging loosely at his side. His left ear is pierced, but it is most of the time covered by his hair. He also wears a short necklace that has a half heart pendant at the end that he rarely speaks about, and it is almost always tucked into his shirt.
Personality: Around his friends, Matthew is normally calm and friendly, but he can be set off easily. When Winters was younger, he got picked on a lot. He was always the smallest one of his age, and he could never fight back. He had temper tantrums, and stormed off a lot, since he couldn't do anything against the ones picking on him. When he grew older, he began to get stronger, and that is when he started fighting back, and it soon became a habit. Now, the littlest thing that someone says can irritated him. When he gets mad, he normally shouts, and can be unusually violent. His personality doesn't normally let things end well, and he gets in trouble a lot in the village, and he doesn't have too many friends.
When he is a good mood, however, he is very friendly. He can be a spaz and have fun, and is comforting around tough times. He is always the one who hold his friends up when they're down, and protects them in times of need. He knew what it felt like to be picked on, and hated it when his friends were forced into that kind of situation.

Battle: Matthew tends to fight a lot, so when in battle, he has fast reactions and reflexes. He is not a fast runner, so when he knows that he cannot take someone on, he is in trouble. His small size yet strong build gives him an advantage, because he can maneuver around his opponents with ease, and still get hard shots and them. He enjoys a fight a little too much, and really gets into them without tiring out.
When a major battle is coming, Matt puts on armor for his chest area, the tops of his arms, and the front part of his legs. He rarely lets an opponent catch him off guard from behind, so he doesn't want to load up on armor he doesn't need. If someone does sneak up behind him, they barely get a single hit on him before his reflexes kick in and he turns on them instantly. He doesn't use a shield or anything of that sort, since it just takes up one arm and is more of a pain to lug around with him.
He can fight with just about anything; swords, spears, fists, and even random objects he finds sprawled across the ground. As long as it can make a decent impact, he can figure out a way to use it. If he is in a situation where he does only have his fists, he tries to make direct hits to his opponents nose, neck, or chest area, making it difficult for them to react as quickly as normal.
