David shrugged.
"Well," he said, "I'll take you guys back to my apartment. I'm gone for a bit of the mornings, 'cause I work at a guitar shop..."
Jackson snarled at the idea of having to take back a monkey with him (or whatever it was, he just didn't care), but he couldn't leave David.

Guessing what Jackson was thinking, Liam turned to the big dog. "Look, mutt, I am a lemur. Lemurs pwn dogs. Lemurs pwn dogs, lemurs pwn dogs,lemurs pwn dogs!!!" He let out a lemur-ish laugh, and started running around David in circles, not really trying to trip him up, but probably getting in his ways.

Jackson growled, baring his teeth, shouting, "GARRRRR!!!! ARKA ARKA ARKA!!!!" Which roughly translates as, "If you don't watch yourself, monkey-thing, I'll snap you in half."
Tom set aside his captains hat, going to the counter to see if anyone was there. His little sister had just made it to Elsewhere, and he wanted to get her a pet...one he could take on the seas would also be nice.

Liam looked over at Jackson. "Huh. I think I speak Canine! Canine canine canine!" His words were still coming out in Lemurese, but he could understand Jackson. "I'm too fast for you, dog-breath!" He continued running in circles. He spied a hat. "HAT! Hatty hatty hat!" Liam took off, scampering away from David quickly, and did a flying leap onto the counter. He pounced on the hat, and started rolling around on it.

Tom narrowed his eyes at the teenager, snatching his hat from Liam.
"Keep a better watch of your..." he said icily, his eyes narrowing on Liam, "Monkey-thing."
David firmed his grip on Jackson's leash, as Jackson growled at the ship captain. "He's a LEMUR."
Tom rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'm here to pick up a kitten or something for my sister." Placing his hat on his head, he said in almost a threat, "Watch your pets next time."
Jackson growled again, "GERARRRR!!!! AWOOF ROU ROU!!!!" Which roughly translates as, "Let me at 'em! Let me at 'em! That no good little flea..."

"I AM NOT A MONKEY-THING!!!" Liam yelled at Tom. He decided he liked the sound of that. "Monkey thing, monkey thing, monkey thing!!! Wheee!!!" He jumped down onto Jackson's back. "Giddyup, canine-thing canine-thing canine-thing!!!"

Jackson rolled his eyes, and as soon as they got outside the building, he shook Liam off onto the pavement. "Grarrrr awooooooo roou roou rooouuuuuuuu." he bark-laughed, which roughly translates as, "I'm not a horse, monkey-thing."
David looked sternly at them, but his eyes showed teasing. "Get along, guys."

Liam performed a really cool somersault thing that came naturally to him, he being a lemur. "I can still ride on you, canine-thing!" He was no longer offended by "monkey-thing," and was even beginning to like it as a nickname. "It's not my fault," he grumbled to David, "If the horse thing won't get along with me."

Jackson looked out and pointed at a cow in the street, and barked, "Arooo rooo....couuuuuwwww...." Which roughly translates as, "You can ride...that."
Kurt the Cow was just passing by, checking himself in to the Animal Center.
David whistled. "Wow. Big cow...."

David smiled at his two new pets, and gripped Jacksons leash.

Samson's tail stopped wagging lightly back and forth when the human left with the dog and the monkey, and he slouched. He took two pets, and he was still here He let out a heavy sigh, and rolled back down on his side.
