((ooc:// Alright, these two I'm planning on putting into Undying Ember Fantasies... but since the roleplay there hasn't started yet, I suppose that I could try to see how they act around people... since... I never really know until I start roleplaying. Anyways, the setting is around medieval times, and there are all sorts of species, humans, elves, imps, mermaids, vampires, angels, demons, dragons, minotaurs.. lots of stuff... and they have different professions, like magicians, theives, swordsmen, gypsies, archers, nobles, slaves, etc... etc... etc...! Anyways. Matsuke (Maht-skay) is ... I guess a slave, but kind of a thief too. He's human, and 17 years old... I posted the picture up a while ago.. I'll have to dig that out again... He is protective of his sister, Mayla... She is 7 years old, and she's an elf, though she is pretending to be human to stay with Matsuke. Well, they're both half elf half human, but Matsuke looks human and Mayla looks like an elf, so that's just what they are considered. Mayla has found that she has magician powers.... and they have to hide that too. As for their exact personalities, though... I don't know... that's why I'm putting this here... XD It would be kind of nice to have somebody to test them out with... lol. So.. yeah. ))

Lia was having mental-writers-block when you posted it... Lia will join now. Lia will bring in Hunter. *grabs Hunter from a word document and tugs him over* Hunter is a 16 year old boy from Farania. He says as little as he possibly can, thinks a lot, and is very stealthy and good at sneaking up behind people. He, like most teenage males of Farania, wears all black and he has his left ear pierced. He's from story I'm writing, so I have no complete bio or anything written. He likes little kids, and playing peek-a-boo and entertaining them. And a little background about Farania, where he is from- It is linked by a portal to both Earth and Ralt, and although the Faranians don't know the portal is a portal, random Earthlings are sent over around about once every ten years, and they take them prisoner. Farania is all a desert, but if you dig below the sand about a meter, there is water. It is separated into segments, a little like fields, but instead of fences, they are all surrounded by high mountain ranges, with a tiny passage through all of them.
... yeah.
Where be the setting? And you start.

((ooc:// -facepalm- ...Allrighty then...
Oh, and just a note, Mayla can mind-read and gets short glimpses of her or Matsuke's future at times...))
Setting: A large, seemingly endless forest. The characters were merely magically transported into said forest, and have to find there way out...or something.
Matsuke was very suddenly flat on his back, coughing as the dust kicked up around him. What was that? He was just cleaning up his master's kitchen and boom! He was... in a forest?
Suddenly his eyes widened. "Mayla? Mayla?! he shouted into the air around him.
Mayla let out a little cough as she walked around the side of a tree into Matsuke's view. "'Ske? What happened?" she asked quietly, glancing around at the massive trees.
"I don't know, Mayla - come here, you-" he stepped over to her to brush the dirt off of her pants. "This... this isn't anywhere near our town..." He stood and scanned the entire area, but for as far as he could see, there were trees. "This is-" his voice was cut off when he felt a light tugging at his pants. Mayla heard something... not anything actually said, but something thought. "Somebody's out there..." she whispered, clutching the cloth that hung lightly around Matsuke's legs. She pointed lightly off into the distance. "I don't know who it is..."
The two of them watched carefully into the trees, watching and waiting for whoever it was to come out.

ooc:// ^^ You asked! Always good to know when a mind-reader is present. That could be interesting... Hunter thinks a lot and shares little.
ic:// Having finished his jobs for the day, Hunter was wasting time reading a book. It was a very interesting one, that had been brought to him from Earth, about a dragon and a sword. In his own little hut, there was no one to disturb him, and he had been lying on his pallet.
He was suddenly aware of a cool breeze running swirling around him, and he peeled his eyes off the book. Instead of on his ragged blanket, he was lying on the floor of something incredibly brown and green, very dirty. This was unexpected. He looked longingly at his book, which had fallen and closed. Darn it! he thought. Now I've lost my page. He ruffled through the pages, trying to find the right one, but gave up.
Slowly, Hunter stood up and stretched his arms up into the air. His long legs got cramped easily, and although he had only been reading for about half an hour, they still felt as if someone had been pressing them down, squishing them. He surveyed his surroundings, and found a lot of tree-things, that he had seen on Earth. Am I on Earth? he wondered.
His sharp ears heard something crackling. Did he hear voices? He frowned, annoyed that his peaceful read had been interrupted... By what? How had he got here? Hunter's dark green eyes saw figures through the branches, and he walked forward. They must have heard him, and were waiting for him. Although unaccustomed to the strange roots poking out here and there from the ground, he made it over without falling, and surveyed the two. One youngie, one middlie, around his age. He stood in front of them, silent, and wondered if they lived here, or if maybe they had brought him here.

Matsuke pressed Mayla closer to his legs, glaring at the newcomer. What was he doing there... what were they doing there? Did he bring them here? Mayla tried to peek around the sides of his legs, though he continued to step in the way to be in between her and this stranger.
Mayla continued to push him to the side. "'Ske...stop!" she sqeaked.
Matsuke jumped back... he had never heard her tell him to get out of the way before, so he merely froze in surprise.
Mayla pushed around Matsuke, though stayed near him. She tipped her head to the side. "We don't live here either," she answered his thoughts, as though they were spoken out loud. "We didn't bring you here... we just came too!" She glanced at Matsuke, who now had an incredibly confused look on his face. Mayla giggled. It was fun knowing some things that he didn't, sometimes.

The sight of the girl speaking so effortlessly surprised Hunter; in Farania, it was unheard of for a youngie to talk without permission, unless around other youngies only. No emotion registered on his face, but he mentally gasped. He hadn't said a word, had he? He decided that he must have, that the thoughts must have slipped out of his mouth without him realizing. Looking down at his feet, he hoped that he hadn't been thinking anything too stupid. Not that he usually thought stupid thoughts; while most people yabbered on about other people and trivial things, Hunter's thoughts were usually on some idea or another.
The older man looked confused and Hunter wondered if he was used to the little one blurting such things out. Realizing that the pair were probably expecting a reply, he tried to formulate words. What was the question again? Oh. No question. "How long have you been here?" Hunter finally asked, his voice so quiet it was almost a whisper. His throat had crusted from lack of speaking, and he gave a loud "Her-herm" to clear it. It sounded unusual in the still air, and he looked down again, slightly embarrassed.

Matsuke stepped forward next to Mayla again when she was suddenly getting stared at strangely. This time, though, she didn't try to pull away, she just pushed up against him quietly. Matsuke glanced up at Hunter. "Uhm... Sorry, I'm... she's just... er..." When he asked how long they have been there, he felt a flash of releif for the change of subject. "We... we just appeared here," he said quietly, glancing awkwardly around. "Where are we?"
Mayla let out an almost silent giggle as the other man continued to think. He thought that he had said things out loud, even though he hadn't said a word. She looked away, continuing to listen to the conversation between the two guys, along with their internal conversations with themselves.

Feeling a little confused, Hunter nodded in response to Matsuke's comment, and shrugged at his question. He started scuffing the ground slightly with his bare foot, and was astonished to find that even after a small layer, it was still solid. Solid ground! He shivered, a little daunted by the unusualness. The little one giggled, and he blinked and looked up at her in the eyes. Hunter felt as if he was missing something incredibly obvious.
Making a split moment decision, Hunter abruptly moved closer and extended his hand. "Hunter," he said as a means of introducing himself.
ooc:// "Never quite said what I wanted to say to you, never quite managed the words to explain to you, never quite knew how to make them believable..." ~Untitled. The Cure's. Ha, that is perfect!

Matsuke blinked and hesitated for a short moment, but reached out his hand and shook it. "I'm Matsuke, and this is Mayla," he said, nodding towards the small child who was now looking at Hunter curiously.
"What's weird about solid ground?" she asked quietly, staring up at him.
"Mayla!" Matsuke half whispered, half scolded. He didn't want her to give away that she was a magician, and with her answering his thoughts, she wasn't doing a good job hiding it.
"'Ske... He's nice," she said quietly to him, loosening the grip around his knees.

ooc:// EPIC FAIL... I was just thinking about this roleplay and how I should ask you to revive it... fail, fail, fail, fail, lia f, lia f, lia f!!!!
I am very sorry.
ic:// "It's solid!" Hunter exclaimed, stating the obvious in an unusual way. He thought back to the last time he had gathered water. In Farania, the ground way soft and sandy, and one could dig quite easily down about two centimeters and hit the core of the land- a watery ocean no one had every bothered to explore. The last time he had gathered water had been a mere day ago; indeed, he could remember this incident with unusal clarity- he had slipped and ended up wet up to his knees. No, the ground handed been changing slowly on him, it must have been this strange place.
He looked up again at the unfamiliar people. "Is the ground always like this for you?" he asked. Hunter realized that, throughout his moment of recollection, he had been gripping Matsuke's hand in a vicelike way, and he now dropped it, not feeling a hint of embarrassment. For all he knew, clutching one's hand for a long time may have been polite gestures where they were from. Hunter felt slightly astonished, realizing how quickly he had accepted that they were from a different place than he.

Matsuke glanced awkwardly at Mayla, slightly releived that the guy hadn't seemed to notice that Mayla had read his mind again. "Er, yessir," he responded quietly, slightly confused. "It's not normally solid for you?" Obviously, from his reaction, it wasn't, but it still confused him. Land was always just land for him, so he didn't know what else it could be. When the man dropped his handshake, Matsuke suddenly looked down awkwardly. It wasn't normal for him to even come into contact with that many people, so to suddenly be looked at as practically an equal, it was a bit strange.
Mayla continued to hug Matsuke's legs lightly. Reading his mind, she quietly murmured, "He doesn't know what we are, 'Ske, stop worrying."
Matsuke looked down at her. She didn't normally speak this much in public, so he was surprised that she was speaking so openly, especially in front of a stranger.
((ooc:// writer's block...))
