HUMAN RP:
It had been a while.
Slowly, Mordial became aware of the soft grasses tickling the skin of his bare arms as he woke in the lush, grassy field he had fallen asleep in. Now, one might question why it was that he had fallen asleep there, but he would likely give no reason for it, anyways. One might chalk it up to the strange behavior that he had had of late, and simply pass it off as some phase he was going through. After all, having to share a body with a demon wolf could influence you in ways being a normal human couldn't.
Slowly, Mordial shifted so that his arm shielded his eyes, as the bright midday sun's light filtered through and made him see red behind his lids. Blinking slowly, blearily, he soon pushed himself up so that he was resting his weight back on his elbows, squinting against the bright sunlight that assaulted his vision. It was difficult for him. He couldn't stand the light these days. It was just so...happy.
And, well.
He wasn't.
It had happened only a few weeks ago, now. He remembered clearly the way that they had all been gathered in one place, and it had been Muma, Ouka, Yuki, and Reaper versus himself, Raven, Aerion, and Kaoru. Ma'at could not side with either of them, because of her naturally neutral disposition, and since Lucifel could not involve himself in such affairs, either, they had...
Well, plain and simple, it was an even battle. Despite how much Mordial might have wanted to brag about the battle prowess their side had, the others had had just as much experience as they did. If not more.
But he hadn't expected it all to play out like it had.
As the battle had begun, he hadn't heard Ma'at's soft chanting, and he certainly hadn't been able to see that Kaoru had dropped back from the battle as he was engaged in fierce combat with the fearsome Reaper. He bitterly remembered that the moment he had gotten some reprieve, he had turned to look for Kaoru, only to spot her...
Plunging a dagger into her chest.
Why? he wondered.
But it had become clear soon enough.
Kaoru had sacrificed herself in order to make the fighting stop. Her blood flowed onto the battlefield, and the reason that they had all been fighting was immediately crushed.
But Mordial would never tell what that reason had been in the first place. For if he ever deemed fit to tell anyone...
Well. Let's just say he wouldn't be wandering fields and sleeping half the day away in them for long.
HORSE RP:
Seraphim sighed.
It seemed as though her efforts had been of no use so far. No one had come to her for help, and certainly no one had even passed through to offer her a simple "hello". Was she to be alone like this forever, aside from the occasional visit from her brother Domuico? It seemed as though they were all but alone in this place, as she had only seen one other stallion wandering about the lands from a distance, almost seeming as though he owned the place, which she knew for certain that he didn't.
Seeing as Domuico owned the place, after all.
Sighing again--a soft breath of carbon whispering out from between chapped charcoal kissers--she shook her head slowly and lowered her maw to the ground. It would do her no good if she simply bored herself to death waiting for others to come and request her help. She would do them no good if she bored herself to death, because, well. Then she would be dead. And one obviously cannot ask a dead horse for help with their problems.
So, with a hopeful flick of her ears to try and catch any sound in the vicinity, she breathed yet another sigh. It seemed as though there would be no luck in her finding a companion this day. And perhaps it would be a while yet until another joined her in her peaceful territory. And so, unsheathing her pearl-hued incisors, she began to nibble complacently at the emerald grasses that bowed beneath her feet. She would be patient for now, she decided. There would be no use in her doing absolutely nothing until there was finally some activity in the lands.
[[OOC: Heehee... well, I really wanted to RP, but I couldn't think of what to do. So, seeing as I do love my human and horse RPs , I decided to post some RP samples up here >.>; I was debating whether or not I should share the first couple of pages of a story I'm working on right now, but I decided I didn't want to share it with anyone until I at least got the first chapter all finished up and edited. So I put this RP sample instead. ;D]]
